Today we are bring you an update about Lo’s story. Lo would like to thank everyone for their generous donations! Without it, Lo would not have been able to buy a moped for about $260 (Aus), or some new clothes for about $40. He is very grateful that complete strangers have been kind to support him get on his feet.

Some of you may also remember that Lo has a cataract in one of his eye’s. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get him a surgery yet to fix this. As a lot of you would be experiencing first-hand yourselves right now, parts of Vietnam are also currently under lockdown due to the spread of COVID-19. So for the time being, we will have to be patient, and if we cannot get Lo his surgery for free through such groups as the Fred Hollows Foundation, we might have to explore other options.

We’ve also become aware of two other ethnic minority children from Ha Giang who are also blind (although not from the orphanage), and who we would like to help as well. But we will keep everyone updated on that too when we have more information!
